Die junge Formation Bubu versucht sich an einem Free Jazz-Sound, der sich zwar von diatonischen Akkordverbindungen löst, aber swingt. Suiten-artig wird in einer komplexen Formstruktur von einem Thema in das nächste übergeleitet, so dass das übliche Schema, „ein Song nach dem nächsten“, verschwimmt und die Konzerte einen meditativen, kontemplativen, Charakter bekommen. Freie Improvisation steht im Mittelpunkt der Show, hierbei lehnen sich die drei Musikanten auch gerne - scheiternd oder glückend - aus dem Fenster.

This young formation is trying at a jazz sound that combines tradition with modernity. Inspired by Ornette Coleman, Don Cherry, Gato Barbieri... the three musicians aim to create a free jazz sound that particularly frees itself from diatonic chord conjunctions and still swings. Suite-like, one theme leads over to the next in a complex pattern structure so the usual scheme “one tune after the other” blurs and the concerts acquire a meditative-contemplative character. Improvisation as free as it could be is the centre of the program, and the three young composers - failing or succeeding - love to lean out far of the window.
