Final Master Concert at the American Church Berlin

ACB invites you to join us for an exciting musical event!

Jānis Pēlmanis conducts his final master's degree concert - Silence, Love and Light - on Saturday, April 23 at 6:00 pm at the American Church Berlin. A special project orchestra and chorus, Chorus Alternatus, will perform music by Byrd, Bach, J.L. Bach, Händel, Brahms, and more.
The concert will be a benefit to raise funds for needed repairs to ACB’s organ.

Jānis Pēlmanis was born in Riga, Latvia. He began his musical education at the early age of 7 at the Riga Dome Choir School (Rīgas Doma kora skola) in Riga, Latvia. Afterwards he studied Choir Conducting and Organ at the Jazeps Vitols Latvian Academy of Music (Jāzepa Vītola Latvijas Mūzikas akadēmija) in Riga, Latvia, and the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin as an Erasmus student. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Choir Direction with additional qualifications in pedagogy at the Latvian Academy of Music, Jānis started his master’s studies in 2019 in Choir Conducting at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler, as well as bachelor studies in Organ at the Universität der Künste. On Saturday, April 23, Jānis conducts his Final Master Exam Concert.
