Growing up in a family of literature fanatics and casual musicians, Claire Hawkins has been writing lyrics since she was nine years old. She later picked up the guitar, learning her first chords from her Rolling Stones fan dad, who made sure “Dead Flowers” was one of the first songs she could play.

Claire Hawkins‘ music combines her NYC upbringing with her love of country and folk music, creating her modern Americana sound. She is currently living in Berlin, where she is studying at The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, and in the spring she will be living in Paris, before returning to New York City.
