Aranyani Bhargav







Arayani Bhargav was trained in Bharatanatyam by Padmashree Leela Samson since she was five years old.







She did her Arangetram (debut on stage) in 2001 at the Sri Ram Centre, New Delhi, when she was 16 years old.







Aranyani joined Leela Samson-€™s company -€œSpanda-€, which explores new and different movement in Bharatanatyam, in 1998, and remained a member of the company till 2004.







In 2006, she went to study contemporary dance at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts for a year.







In September 2009, Aranyani Bhargav completed a Diploma in Movement Arts and Mixed Media from Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts, Bangalore where they taught Kalaripayettu (a traditional martial arts form from Kerala), Bharatanatyam, and several contemporary dance and improvisation classes taught by a visiting faculty from places like France, Amsterdam, the UK, Canada and USA.
