This time we are celebrating the bi-annual European Month of Photography and the first Berlin Photo Week.

Taking the stage will be the woman behind one of Germany’s most-followed social media accounts. Her name is Uwa Scholz, but almost 200,000 Instagram followers know her as @uwa2000. She’ll share the ups and downs of life as a travel photographer – don’t miss her tips and stories: including cell phone photography, how to find memorable travel motifs in new destinations, and the challenges of the Instagrammer’s life.
We are over-happy to have photographer and tea lover Michael Pieracci with us. He followed his passion and curiosity for tea all the way to the source and quit his job in San Francisco to travel to Darjeeling, India for an extended stay at the Makaibari Tea Estate. There, he researched tea culture, heritage, and cultivation, ultimately harvesting a batch of his own tea. At Berlin Travel Night #02, he’ll share his story of leaving it all behind to follow a dream.
Gen Sadakane, founder and creative director of EyeEm, a platform used by over 22 million photographers, will introduce the shortlist of works from the EyeEm Photography Awards in the categories “The Traveler” and “The Great Outdoors.”
