Wir laden Euch herzlich ein zur Ausstellung "Promising Young Woman" der irischen Künstlerin Sinéad Áoife Ní Tomás!
Über die Ausstellung: Die Ehre des vielversprechenden jungen Mannes wird auf Kosten der vielversprechenden jungen Frau gerichtlich verteidigt. Diese Ausstellung ist ein Porträt des in unseren Köpfen lauernden kollektiven Albtraums, während dieser Status aufrechterhalten wird. Hoffentlich wird diese Last durch diese Ausstellung aus Gemälden, Performances und Installationen halbiert... und ein Schlachtruf ausgestoßen.
Über die Künstlerin: Sinéad Áoife Ní Tomás ist eine interdisziplinäre Künstlerin aus Irland, die in San Francisco, Kalifornien, aufwuchs. Während ihrer Schulzeit sammelte sie Erfahrungen in Malerei und bildender Kunst und vertiefte sich zunächst in Shakespeare, bevor sie die Polimoda in Florenz besuchte, um Modedesign zu studieren. Dies hat ihren neuen Malstil maßgeblich beeinflusst und verbindet ihre intuitive Sensibilität mit der Romantik der Renaissance, der Präraffaeliten und des Impressionismus. Tomás ist vor allem für ihre Modefotografie und Selbstporträts auf Instagram (@sine.adaoife) bekannt.
Diese Ausstellung im Kunstraum Heartspace ist ihre erste Einzelausstellung seit 2018, nachdem sie zuvor im Presidio in San Francisco gezeigt wurde.

About the exhibition: The courts defend the honor of the promising young man at the expense of the promising young woman. This exhibition is a portrait of the collective nightmare that lives in the back of our minds as this standard is upheld. Hopefully through this painting, performance, and installation exhibition this burden is halved and a battle cry is exhaled.
About the artist: Sinéad Áoife Ní Tomás is a interdisciplinary artist from Ireland but raised in San Francisco, California. With experience with painting and fine art through fine arts training throughout her school, she first dove in to Shakespeare before attending Polimoda in Florence, Italy to pursue fashion art direction. This has definitely influenced her new painting style, mixing her visceral sensibility with the romance of the Renaissance, Pre-Raphealite, and Impressionist painting styles. Tomás is known mostly for her fashion photography and self portraits from Instagram (@sine.adaoife).
This show at the Kunstraum Heartspace is her first solo exhibition since 2018 after showing in the Presidio in San Francisco.
