"I think there is a particular form of synaesthesia, one that is not just hearing colours or smelling sounds, but that creates a deeper connection between our senses, our intellect, and the universe of which we are a part.

I like to call this form of synaesthesia: pre-perception.

It's a way to perceive the universe around us, not as mixture of different inputs that pass through our senses and our brain, and our intellect codifies, but as whole. A very big and at the same time very small whole.

It is the perception before our perception. The way we used to perceive when we were just atoms, or electrons, or photons. It is the primordial form of perception that is somehow still inside our body and our brain."
