A piece of advice for those taking a journey: Bring only what you truly need.
In its unique way my exhibition is a part of that endless buzzing, where we humans - from an adequate distance the size of ants - carry our baggage on this planet here and there for a variety of reasons.
Cropping and framing events: images without images. They are surfaces for remembering and recalling. They may be peepholes or secret windows to look through. For the first time, and again. Light and color is what they are made of.
These works have also been concerned with those pocket-sized cardboard cases with oval-shaped or rounded windows on the cover.
I'm a visual artist, painter and criticizing art in Oulu, Finland. My works are often related to personal experiences, stories heard and general facts. As well as parallel to memories, I want to paint as a present-moment special act.

In my own way, my exhibition is part of that endless buzz of how we humans, viewed from a distance like the ants, carry our luggage back and forth on this planet for a variety of reasons.
Many of these exhibits are nothing more than the cutting and shaping of events: pictures without pictures. They are surfaces to remember, but can also be peepholes and hidden windows to look through. First of all, then again. They consist of lights and colors.
This work was also inspired by the small cardboard boxes, with the oval or round windows on it. They would otherwise contain collages and photos of different cities and should become souvenirs.
I am a visual artist, painter and art critic from Oulu, Finland. My works often consist of memories of a place inspired by personal experiences, stories and general facts. Like a parallel to memories, I want my paintings to be seen as a special act of the moment.
