Clouded Memories - Tuuli Meriläinen

Clouded memories exhibition is a series of paintings based on artist's childhood. During their childhood and teenage years, they were painted and painted images. It is a herd of small roe deer. Or how dark dressed gloomy neighbor what talented musician who talked to his friend cockroaches and cried when pest control cleaned his house. In the paintings color and composition is inspired by Tuulis grandparents' house. For the artist, specific colorful fabrics and textures found from grandparents' place are a symbol of summer.
The artworks were created between 2018 and 2019. Paintings are made with acrylic paint and effect paint. All the stories that have been read are in the exhibition pamphlet.

Blurred memories - Tuuli Meriläinen
The exhibition "Blurred Memories" includes a series of paintings based on the childhood of the artist. They are abstract images of stories and images that influenced the artist's childhood and early youth. Thus, between the fields near their grandparents' home, there was a small spruce forest in which, according to some stories, a small deer herd lived. Or there was a dark-skinned man who was a talented musician but looked at cockroaches as his friends and yelled at the pest controllers cleaning their house.
The colors and compositions in Tuulis paintings were inspired by the home of her grandparents, a symbol for the summer.
The artworks of this exhibition were created in the years 2018 and 2019 and the artist used acrylic paint and effect color. All stories that inspire these works have been written down in the exhibition brochure.
