Viele Materialien, die wir täglich verbrauchen sind einfach zu schade für die Tonne. Deshalb möchten wir einen UPCYCLING Tag im caridoo anbieten und aus alten Materialien und Stoffen neue Produkte kreieren.
Aus Korken machen wir Pinnwände und aus alten Shirts werden schöne Makrame Bänder für Pflanzentöpfe.
Das was ihr macht könnt ihr mit nach Hause nehmen. Über ein kleine Spende freuen wir uns, ist aber kein muss. Alle Erlöse fließen in soziale Projekte des Caritasverbands für das Erzbistum Berlin e.V. und kommen somit unter Anderem Obdachlosenheimen zu Gute.
Je nachdem was du machen möchtest, kannst du gerne alte Baumwolle/Jersey Shirts, Korken und alte Bilderrahmen mitbringen.
Wir von der youngcaritas Berlin sammeln auch kräftig in den nächsten Wochen, sodass wir genug Material vor Ort haben werden. Werkzeug und Arbeitsplätze stellen wir zur Verfügung.

„There is no such thing as „away“. When we throw anything away it must go somewhere” (Annie Leonard)
Many materials which we use daily are still too good to just throw away. For that reason youngcaritas Berlin organises an upcycling day at caridoo, our Projectroom. On this day we want to create new products out of, what others might think of as trash.
From cork (wine bottles) we create new pin boards and from old shirts we make thread and crochet makrame for plant pots. You can take all product you make during the upcycling workshop home and give a small donation (not obligatory). All revenues we give to Caritasverband Berlin and support social projects like Caritas Kältehilfe, which supports homeless people during winter.
You can bring material from home, like old jersey shirts, cork from wine bottles and picture frames. We also collect a lot of material you can use for upcycling. Also we have tools and enough workplaces to get creative.
