-zArt Grain- - Ein Kunstgang durch den Kornerkiez
Ateliers und Galerien offnen am 19 .Oktober 2012 von 18:00 – 22:00 Uhr die Türen.
Die Kunst des versteckten Neukollner Kornerkiezes zu prasentieren und den Besuchern die Künstler und Galeristen vorzustellen – darum geht es beim Art Grain, der am 19. Oktober 2012 aufgrund seines wiederkehrenden Erfolges nun schon im dritten Jahr in Folge durchgeführt wird. Hier wird gezeigt, was die nationale und internationale Kunstwelt in Neukolln zu bieten hat - Kuratoren, Sammler, Kunstpublikum sowie alle Kieznachbarn und weitere Interessenten sind herzlich eingeladen, an einer der kostenlosen Führungen teilzunehmen oder auf eigene Faust durch die ortliche Kunstszene zu flanieren.
Dieses Jahr prasentieren wir ein Auswahl von acht Kunstorten, in denen nicht nur ausgestellt, sondern oft auch produziert wird. Es gibt bereits lange etablierte Galerien wie die Galerie im Kornerpark, aber auch neu gegründete Projektraume wie das Pony Royal und selten zugangliche Ateliers wie das E 116 zu entdecken. Auf den Führungen werden die Besucher nicht nur mit den aktuellen Kunstwerken und Installationen in Berührung kommen, sondern auch mit den Künstlern, Kuratoren und Galeristen, die dahinter stehen. Eine gute Moglichkeit also, mit Kunstschaffenden ins Gesprach zu kommen.
Im kleinen Kornerkiez entstehen seit einigen Jahren immer mehr Ateliers und Ausstellungsraume. Hier arbeiten Künstler aus allen Ecken der Welt, die die Ruhe im Kiez schatzen, aber trotzdem mitten in der Kunstmetropole Berlin sein wollen. Einige haben bereits auf internationalen Kunstmessen ausgestellt, oder ihre Werke an namhafte Sammlungen und Museen verkauft. Andere sind Newcomer und wollen hoch hinaus.
Die Führungen finden jeweils 18:00, 19:00 und 20:00 Uhr auf deutsch und 18:30 Uhr auf englisch statt. Treffpunkt und Start ist im kunstraum t27, in der Thomasstraße 27.
Ab 22:00 wird man zur After Walk Party in der WerkStadt erwartet, Emser Straße 124.

-Art Grain- – An art walk through the neighbourhood of Kornerkiez
Studios and Galleries are open on the 19th of October from 6pm-10pm.
Presenting the art of the hidden neighbourhood of Kornerkiez-Neukolln and to introduce visitors to gallery owners – this is what Art Grain is all about. Taking place on the 19th of October, 2012, this will be the third year in a row for Art Grain due to widespread interest and previous success as an event. The tours will display what the national and international art world has to offer in the district of Neukolln - curators, collectors, art
lovers and all neighbours are warmly welcomed to attend one of the free guided tours, or
to stroll on their own through the local art scene.
This year, we are presenting a selection of eight art venues which are both exhibition and production spaces. There are already long since established galleries to discover such as Galerie in Kornerpark, but also newly founded project spaces such as the Pony Royal and rarely accessible studios like the E 116. On the tours, visitors will not only get involved with the latest artworks and installations, but also they will meet artists, curators and gallery
owners who are committed to these exhibition spaces. This is one of the best ways to get in touch with active producing artists.
For several years now more and more studios and exhibition rooms are arising in the small neighbourhood of Kornerkiez. Artists from all over the world are working here and appreciate the peaceful environment, while still being in the middle of the art metropolis Berlin. Some have already exhibited at international art fairs, some have sold their works to prominent collections and museums and others are newcomers who aim high.
The guided tours in German take place at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm. At 6:30 PM there will be a guided tour in English. The meeting point and start of the tour route is kunstraum t27, at Thomasstraße 27.
From 10 PM on you are invited to the After Walk Party in WerkStadt, Emser Straße 124.
