Cine Banlieue Dakar is a space for creation and training in audiovisual subjects for young people, founded in 2008. At first it was located in Guédiawaye, then in Pikine and lately in Parcelles Assainies, on the outskirts of Dakar.

Ciné Banlieue has allowed the young people of these neighborhoods write scripts and shoot different movies that have to do with themes that they live themselves.

To date, a total of 15 short films have been created by a dozen young people. All of them have been projected in Senegal in the same neighborhoods where the project was developed and in
international festivals such as FESPACO (in Burkina Faso), Image et Vie (Senegal) and the out-of-competition section of the Cannes International Film Festival (France).
