Film und Diskussion zu Libyen

Am 02. April präsentiert 14km e.V den Film „Libyen, die Revolution und ich" von Nicole Nagel (2013; 82 min; Arabisch, Englisch, Deutsch mit deutschen Untertiteln). Der Film erzählt, wie die Berliner Filmemacherin nach Libyen kommt und beginnt, den Aufstand gegen Gaddafi zu dokumentieren. Sie porträtiert die Revolutionäre in Frontnähe sowie Frauen, die diese leidenschaftlich unterstützen. Selbst nimmt die Filmemacherin im Lauf des Films immer eindeutiger den Standpunkt der Revolutionäre ein.
Auf den Film folgt ein offenes Podiums und Publikumsgespräch mit der Filmemacherin und weiteren Gästen zur Libyschen Revolution von 2011 und den darauf folgenden Entwicklungen in Libyen sowie zu den Auswirkungen auf libysche Migrant/innen in Moabit und Berlin.
Die Teilnahme ist frei, um eine freiwillige Spende wird gebeten.
Das Projekt wird im Rahmen des Quartiersmanagements Moabit Ost aus Mitteln des Programms Soziale Stadt (EU, Bund und Land Berlin) gefördert.

Arab Film and Discussion Evening on Libya
2 April 2014, 6:30 pm at Filmrauschpalast / Kulturfabrik

14km presents the film "Libya, the revolution and me" by Nicole Nagel (2013, 82 mins, Arabic/English/German with German subtitles). The film narrates how the Berlin film maker arrives in Libya and starts documenting the revolt against Gaddafi. She portrays the revolutionaries close to the front lines, as well as women supporting them with passion. The filmmaker herself takes over the revolutionaries' point of view more and more clearly during the movie.
The film will be followed by an open conversation and audience discussion with the film maker and further guests, in which we would like to discuss the Libyan revolution of 2011 and the following developments in Libya, as well as the repercussions on Libyan migrants in Moabit and wider Berlin. Attendance is free, donations are welcome.
The project receives financial support in the context of the quarter management Moabit Ost
through funds from the Programme Social City (EU, Federal Government, and Federal State of
Berlin).
