Fermentation is a natural process of breaking down microorganisms of a product. We eat and drink more fermented things than we think we do. Yogurt, wine, beer, saurkraut, sourdough bread, kefir and cheese are only some examples of fermented things in peoples regular diets. With Edible Alchemy, one can explore other compounds of bacteria that are beneficial to ones health and everyday living. Ginger-beer, soda pops and Kombucha - a ancient Asian fermented tea that helps us introduce healthy bacteria into our systems. These things are not only delicious, but they help our immune and digestive systems. Learn how to make some of these fermented things and get your own kombucha SCOBY to take home like a pet and have a life-long supply of healthy ferments made to your liking!
