„S o u n d i n g B o n e s“

Sounding bones is a research project based on the idea that sound and motion are the two faces of the same coin. Through motion sensors and recording fields, we give sound to actions which are normally not able to be heard.

We explore the possibilities of the body to sound, bringing the focus to what is normally not audible to humans. Vibrations of rustling clothes, sliding hands, and moving joints and muscles of multiple performers are amplified through special contact microphones.
In this way the gate into new ways of creating performance opens, giving the movers to create and shape the aural environment they perform in, through the sound and rhythms of their movement.
