Born in Germany but raised in New York, Josh got his start in comedy at eleven years old when he said that he wanted to be a firetruck when he grew up. It was a very funny joke and earned him the praise and adulation of all of his 5th grade classmates. Unfortunately, his career in comedy got sidetracked by middle school, high school, four years of college and ten years working in the film industry, none of which are as funny as they should be.
Josh is now a comedian and filmmaker based in Berlin, Germany, where he lives with his wife and two daughters and refers to himself in the third person on the Internet.

The American comedian formerly known as Drew Portnoy chose German for his foreign language credit in middle school because he thought it was punk. He didn't realize at the time how much it would shape his life, for good or for bad. At the end of the '90s he swapped the Colorado's Rocky Mountains for Berlin's nightlifh and he's slept little since, especially after he became a father.
Andrew performs throughout Europe in both English and German and uses his dry wit to take aim at the Germans, Berliners, his family and especially himself. As a former correspondent for US newspapers, he uses his extensive knowledge of German politics and culture to take his comedy to the next level.
