Everyone is talking about digital information transfer, however many libraries are not even keeping pace with existing developments. Scarce resources, difficult collection histories and the increasing flood of publications often make traditional knowledge repositories seem like laggards. Does open access strengthen the position of the libraries or does it mean even more work for them? What form should the research library of the future take?   This event will take place in English.

Jens Vigen, Head of the Scientific Information Service at CERN Prof. Dr. Rick Luce, Dean of the University of Oklahoma Libraries Moderation: Matthias Spielkamp, Journalist und Open Access-Experte
