April 2022Für die 2021er Ausgabe\, der jährlichen Performance-Reihe POWER NIGHT\, hat das E-WERK Lucia Pietroiusti eingeladen\, eine kumulative Ausstellung zu kuratiere\, die sich seit dem 22. Oktober 2021 über neun Monate hinweg entfaltet. Being Mothers bringt künstlerische Interventionen und Forschungsprozesse zusammen\, die dazu anregen sollen über Umweltfragen\, Regeneration und Nachhaltigkeit in einem holistischen Kontext nachzudenken. Being Mothers präsentiert Installationen\, Gaben\, Performances und Filmarbeiten von Revital Cohen &amp\; Tuur Van Balen\, Cooking Sections\, Karrabing Film Collective\, Isabel Lewis &amp\; Sissel Tolaas\, Tabita Rezaire und Himali Singh Soin.Nachdem bei der elekrisierenden POWER NIGHT 2019 der Strom im ehemaligen Braunkohlekraftwerk zum ersten Mal wieder eingeschaltet wurde\, finden die POWER NIGHTS 2021 über drei Jahreszeiten hinweg statt und verfolgen einen Ansatz des Slow Curating. Das Programm ist als langfristiges\, kumulatives Ausstellungsprogramm ausgebaut\, um neue Ausstellungsformate mit dem Fokus auf nachhaltige Verlangsamung zu fördern. Being Mothers brings together artistic interventions and research processes that reflect on environmental care\, repair and endurance in a more-than-human context. The exhibition features installations\, offerings\, performances and film works by Revital Cohen &amp\; Tuur Van Balen\, Cooking Sections\, Karrabing Film Collective\, Isabel Lewis &amp\; Sissel Tolaas\, Tabita Rezaire and Himali Singh Soin.Following the electrifying event POWER NIGHT 2019\, where the power was switched back on for the first time in the former brown-coal power station\, POWER NIGHTS 2021 take place across three seasons\, and advocate an approach of slow curating. The programme extends as a long term\, cumulative exhibition programme in an effort to champion new exhibition formats focused on sustainable deceleration. POWER NIGHTS takes the form of an immersive installation programme across the spaces of E-WERK’s campus\, propagating new forms with workshops\, events and happenings and culminating in an evening of live events in April 2022.POWER NIGHTS: Being Mothers\, 2021 is supported by Fonds Darstellende Künste with funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media\, E.ON Stiftung and the Jugend-\, Kultur-\, Sport- und Sozialstiftung der MBS in Potsdam.
