DESCRIPTION:Die Berliner Band Pirilampos wird uns an diesem Abend mit Percussion und Daumenklavier begleiten. Es erwarten uns "ass-shakey" Rhythmen\, aber auch meditative Klänge\, die ihre Wurzeln in traditionell südafrikanischer Musik haben. Das afrikanische Daumenklavier\, Mbira\, liegt im Herzen ihrer Musik. Es ebnet ihnen den Weg die Grenzen zwischen Kulturen und Sprachen zu überwinden. Darüber hinaus ist ihre Musik ein Ausdruck freundschaftlicher Begegnung - mit viel Freude werden Geschichten und Töne ausgetauscht\, die das alltägliche Leben wiederspiegeln.Pirilampos is a berlin based band - with roots in the traditional and popular musics of Southern Africa. The African thumb piano called mbira lies at the heart of their music - It is the doorway which allows them to move between the boundaries of different cultures and languages. Beyond that their music is an encounter between friends – a joyful exchange of sounds and stories.
