Most Individuals of biracial background at varied points face identity crisis and sense of belonging. Many of them invariably struggle to cope with the challenges posed by how society identifies them racially\, because they are not mono racial but are actually torn between two races. The book therefore\, covers the multiple realities of racial identity and a sense of belonging among biracial individuals.This book is designed to understand how Black-white interracial parents categorize and reconcile their children’s racial identity. Moreover\, the objective of this research book is also to expose some of the approaches and strategies parents of biracial individuals convey to their children in order to influence or trivialise their racial identity.The book therefore\, presents the research results on interracial marriage\, looking at the multiple challenges that emanates from interracial marriage and how parents cope with the dual identity of their children.SPEAKERJames Omolo is a Kenyan living in Poland. He is the founder of Africa Connect Foundation\, an advocacy organization on Human Rights issues affecting People of African Descent\, an activist\, and author of two published books\; Strangers at the gate: Black Poland\, and Crossing the color line: Interracial marriage and biracial identity. He also lectured at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (SWPS)\, Centre for Postgraduate Studies and Training on ‘Africa Business and Beyond’. His past publications include\; Chinese foreign policy in Sudan and\, Poland and Africa: past\, present and future.
