DESCRIPTION:Tomáš Mikolov is one of the most renowned young scientists in AI. He made a significant breakthrough in AI research\, when he created a program which was able to solve the equation above\, thus making the computation process look more human-like.Tomáš Mikolov has been a research scientist at Facebook AI Research since May 2014. Previously\, he was a member of the Google Brain team\, where he developed and implemented efficient algorithms for computing the distributed representation of words (word2vec project). His method improved automatic translations\, speech recognition and spam filters. He received the Neuron Award for significant scientific discovery in 2018.Tomáš Mikolov has a PhD from Brno University of Technology. His long-term research goal is to develop intelligent machines capable of learning and communicating with people using natural language.Science Café is a series of popular science presentations and talks featuring today’s top Czech scientists. It is organized by the Berlin Czech Centre\, the Czexperts Network\, and the Neuron Foundation in Prague. Each year the Neuron Foundation awards Neuron Impulse grants to outstanding research projects\, and recognizes the top scientists in their field with the prestigious Neuron Award.Admission free
