SUMMARY:Maisa Moi - M5B5W5Q (Opening: 13.11. 19-21h)
DESCRIPTION:13.11.-1.12.2018 Maisa Moi - M5B5W5Q Five different colors of Black and five Questions Opening: 13.11. 19-21h Welcome Welcome With my works I search for the world around me. I usually express myself in something between abstract and representative art. I use a lot of symbolic language - often of several interpretations. I'm studying different ways of expressing myself so that's how it's got ideas\, questions\, and feelings in the viewer. The world has no self-doubt or ready answers. In addition to my artistic education\, my background is in social science and philosophy. My social science education is often reflected in my paintings one way or another. The present works in the series 5B5W5Q and At the Border reflect on the relationship between external beauty and inner anxiety. Often\, it is unfortunate did external beauty\, the end of itself\, meaningless\, just momentary pleasure\, or it is the growing anxiety about the future\, threatening natural disasters\, uncertainty in world politics\, refugee masses\, fear of otherness\, racism\, etc.The human condition is\, however\, that of possessing no moral safety net. No God\, no scientific law\, nor any amount of ethical concrete\, can it be said that it is condemned to walk as human "The Quest for a Moral Compass\, A Global History of Ethics"\, Kenan Malik\, Atlantic Book Ltd\, 2014 *** Five Different Colors Black\, Five Different Colors White and Five QuestionsIn my works\, I search for the versatile feelings that the world generates around me. Mostly I express myself in a symbolic language - often with multiple interpretations. Questions and feelings in the viewer. The world has no self-doubt or simple answers. In addition to my artistic education\, I also have a background in social sciences and philosophy. My knowledge in social sciences is often reflected in one way or another in my works. The current works from the series "5B5W5Q" and "At the Border" deal with the relationship between external beauty and inner oppression. Often\, outer beauty is really only superficial: it is meaningless\, a momentary pleasure\, or it may conceal a growing fear of the future\, impending natural disasters\, insecurity in world politics\, refugees\, fear of others\, racism\, etc. "Human life There is no God\, no scientific law\, or any other ethical foundation We are left with the choice of The Quest for a Moral Compass\, A Global History of Ethics\, Kenan Malik\, Atlantic Book Ltd 2014. *** Gallery PleikuEugen-Strasse 6a Already Hair 10407 BERLIN Open: Tue-Sat 15-19h www. galeriepleiku.com www.facebook.com/galeriepleiku
