SUMMARY:Izrael Banzai - Exhibition of Contemporary Israeli Art from the A-Collection
DESCRIPTION:The Japanese “Banzai” means analogous “10000 years of peace and happiness”.The relationship between the present and the future is noticeable in almost every collection of art. But among the selection of works from the A-collection exists a very particular dialogue between history and personal interest as well as between public and privacy. The building\, which hosts the exhibition\, was the former “Reich Chamber of Culture” during the Nazi era. So the theme of progressing time and it’s influence on the perception of reality\, which unites most of the exhibited works\, became even more vivid through the showroom.Exhibited artists are Maya Attoun\, Asaf Ben Zvi\, Nurit David\, Gilad Efrat\, Erez Israeli\, Moshe Kupferman\, Gabriel Klasmer\, Ziv Koren\, Orly Maiberg\, Gilad Ophir\, Galia Pasternak\, Gal Weinstein and Miriam Weissenstein. The exhibition is curated by Alona Harpaz.Open Tuesdays through Saturdays\, 12am to 6pm.Free Entry.
