DESCRIPTION:Billy Goodman is a unique slide guitarist\, singer and songwriter. He comes from the USA\, where he played with the Goodman Brothers for over ten years. His role as a slide guitarist on tours of Jorma Kaukonen (Jefferson Airplane\, Electric Hot Tuna) and Dave Mason (Traffic)\, and as a bass player during his time as a member of the Road Crew for Grace Slick and Jefferson Starship\, is also worth mentioning. Together with his brother Frank\, he received four stars in the German edition of the Rolling Stone magazine for the 1995 Crooked Smile album of the Goodman Brothers. His first solo album\, Walk the Street Alone\, released in 1998\, was equally well received in Europe. Billy now lives in Berlin and continues the tradition of folk and blues musicians. His hallmarks are his distinctive style on the Bottleneck slide guitar\, the ingenious lyrics of his own songs and his expressive voice. He is sometimes referred to as "the missing link between Paul Simon and Muddy Waters" and has already opened concerts for many great bands\, including Van Morrison\, David Lindley\, Leon Russell\, Chris Whitley and many others.
