The protests have been brutally suppressed by the regime until this very day.The uprising was mostly ignored by the media\, and when discussed\, it was often portrayed in a simplistic and sectarian manner.ArabHub Berlin will be hosting two Bahraini human rights activists to talk about the different forms of oppression the government is practicing to crackdown on the protest movement.Speakers:Yousif Almuhafdah: Vice President of the Bahrain Center for Human Rights who was involved in the documentation of human rights abuses in Bahrain. He was detained by the regime many times\, and currently resides in Germany.Nedhal Alsalman: Human Rights Activist. Her work focuses on documenting human rights abuses against children and women\, and is involved in campaigning in many countries.
