DESCRIPTION:Have a drink and listen to some really good Jazz from widely travelled Musicians Georgi Šareski and Christian Schantz at our cosy place Ututut in Neuköllnfree entry = donations for musicians very welcome!Georgi Sareskiis a composer\, arranger and guitarist\, best known for his work as a band leader and performer with the Georgi Sareski Quartet and the Skopje Connection. One of the most productive musicians from Macedonia.Georgi attended Berklee College of Music in Boston from 2001 to 2005 with a major in jazz composition and arranging. He studied under the tutelage of Ken Pullig\, Greg Hopkins\, Scott Free\, Jon Damian\, Bret Willmott\, and slide guitarist David Tronzo\, to name a few. During his studies he was awarded the Berklee Achievement Scholarship Award\, as well as the 1st prize award on the IAJE Massachusetts State competition (International Association of Jazz Educators) for his composition "Mourning Suite Pt.2" (featured on his debut album).Christian Schantzlebt von 1998 bis 2002 in New York. Studiert dort am "Jazz and Contemporary Music Department" der New School in Manhattan Kontrabass. Unterricht u.a. bei Chico Hamilton\, Greg Cohen und Kermit Driscoll.Spielt in dieser Zeit mit allen möglichen und unmöglichen Bands und Besetzungen E-und Kontrabass\, schreibt die Filmmusik für den Kurzfilm Muudonmuutos des mexikanischen Regisseurs Juan Pablo Arroyo und gründet zusammen mit dem Gitarristen John Lee und dem Schlagzeuger Nigel Sifantus die Band Spaceship.
